Wednesday marks a special occasion for the Badger Den. It’s the 100th broadcast of the show on BlogTalkRadio. To mark the event some special guests have been lined up.

Headliner – Daren Gardner of the Constitution Ride Across America will share his thoughts about his ride. Also he’ll be speaking at the Freedom Jamboree event in Kansas City. He’ll tell us all about that.

Jeremy Jensen with Americans For Prosperity will fill us in on the latest news and issues in Nebraska.

My old college professor Dr. Bob Milliken from Nebraska Christian College will drop by to tell us about the Thought and Humanities program at NCC. Dr. Bob is one of my mentors and a great inspiration.

We’ll check in with Caiden Cowger, 12 year old radio host and fellow BlogTalkRadio member.

And an old friend Joe Garnet of joegarnet.com will talk about life in California.

Also on tap – American Folklore segment on Paul Bunyan. The second inductee into the AmeriCANS Hall of Fame will be done – nominees are George Washington, Henry Ford, Lewis and Clark, John Wayne and Benjamin Franklin.

I’ll also preview two upcoming shows – former FBI Agent Ted Gunderson will join me sometime in April. Next week I’ll play the interview I did with my Great uncle Bill, a WWII Vet who escaped from Germany. I’ll play clips from that interview tomorrow.

Join me as I celebrate the 100th broadcast of the Badger Benson Show!

Daren Gardner’s Constitution Ride Across America rolled into Washington, D.C. today. This was Daren’s last stop on his motorcycle ride that began in August. Daren travelled through 48 states. He stopped at each state capitol along the way presenting ceremonial copies of the Constitution. Those elected officials in each state then signed a resolution to uphold the Constitution. That document was delivered today to our nation’s capitol.

Meanwhile on the other side of the National Mall, John Stewart and Stephen Colbert held their “Rally to Restore Sanity/Fear” event. I think it’s a shame that coverage of that event has been so heavy, while the amazing story of an average citizen doing something on his own has gained little to no exposure.

Daren’s ride is complete…but the real journey is just beginning! I feel honored to have taken part in his ride, a small part when he came through Lincoln, Nebraska.

We hope that Daren will get to enjoy some quality time with his family now! (And some minor bike repairs are tended to!) I’m proud to call him a friend. He is an inspiration to all, and a real American! We hope to have Daren on the radio show very soon. We’ll keep you updated.

Thanks again Daren!

I’ve made two songs available from Jeff Peter’s of Omaha who performed at the Constitution Ride Across America Rally in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 2nd. The recordings are two songs that Jeff sang at the rally. They are his rendition of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless The USA” and the American classic “God Bless America”. He made Lee Greenwood’s song fitting for Nebraska! Enjoy! And if you’d like to drop Jeff and line or send him a few bucks for his talent and time, please email me and I’ll get you in contact with Jeff. We certainly appreciate Jeff’s work at the rally and his amazing voice!

To contact Jeff, email me at brandon@badgerbenson.com We’ll also have more video from the CRAA event coming soon. Remember Daren Gardner’s CRAA ride ends this Saturday in DC! Check out www.craa2010.com for details. Jeff and Daren are great examples of AmeriCANS!

Hey everyone! It took me two days to rest from the amazing weekend in DC! I’m someone who finds it hard to rest and relax, but I was so exhausted I basically just crashed. But back to business today!

Tomorrow Daren Gardner will be arriving in Lincoln, Nebraska at 4 PM for a rally at the state capitol. Daren has been on a journey across the United States since August 15th. His Constitution Ride Across America is stopping at each state capitol, finding an elected official to sign a resolution to uphold the Constitution. Tomorrow Tony Fulton will be signing the document here in Nebraska. Candidate Dan Hill be presenting his platform.

Jeff Peters of Omaha will be providing the entertainment, performing a few songs. Pastor Shannon Chesnutt will be giving the opening invocation. Daren will deliver a message about the Constitution and then close with prayer.

I hope that you will all be able to attend and support Daren, and our Constitution!
