Hey everyone! The Badger is busy working. Just when it looked like I was poised to really make this web site and my projects into a great deal, I had to slow it down again. Just for a bit.
I had a great opportunity to get back to working. However that required me to spend some time during the week away from home and back in Iowa near my parents. I’m working with my uncle on homes that have been foreclosed and condemned, basically we go in and clean up these trashed homes to make them look good before going back on the market.
Aside from that I also am back in college! Now taking online classes through Bellevue University. I’m in an accelerated program, Leadership. I’ll be able to get my bachelors degree by the end of the next summer.
With all of this going on I also decided to hand over the reigns as state coordinator for Tea Party Patriots in Nebraska to someone else. My successor is James Mason of Nemaha County. James will be a great fit for the job and he’s looking forward to it.
I have also joined Examiner.com as a writer. My posts should start appearing soon. I’ll be featuring Republican issues/events from the Omaha area.
In the meantime I still intend to make frequent posts here, at the Rattington Post, on Facebook and still do my show as much as possible.
So just stay tuned! I appreciate your patience and friendship!
I’ve kept myself out of the news loop the past week. I keep hearing talk about some preacher in Florida wanting to burn crayons tomorrow.
What did Crayola ever do to him? Also what business is it of anyone else if he does burn crayons? Especially if the crayons are non-toxic…should be some colorful smoke. I do feel for the kids that want some crayons but might not get them because this guy burns a few boxes. It is back to school time you know, so in that regard it’s very insensitive.
But still here in America we’ve allowed burning of all sorts of things – bras, books, flags…athletes foot.
In short…the whole thing is just childish.
Hey everyone! It took me two days to rest from the amazing weekend in DC! I’m someone who finds it hard to rest and relax, but I was so exhausted I basically just crashed. But back to business today!
Tomorrow Daren Gardner will be arriving in Lincoln, Nebraska at 4 PM for a rally at the state capitol. Daren has been on a journey across the United States since August 15th. His Constitution Ride Across America is stopping at each state capitol, finding an elected official to sign a resolution to uphold the Constitution. Tomorrow Tony Fulton will be signing the document here in Nebraska. Candidate Dan Hill be presenting his platform.
Jeff Peters of Omaha will be providing the entertainment, performing a few songs. Pastor Shannon Chesnutt will be giving the opening invocation. Daren will deliver a message about the Constitution and then close with prayer.
I hope that you will all be able to attend and support Daren, and our Constitution!
